Commitment

Last year I joined an online women writers’ group. The writers filled me with awe and inspiration. It was not just their brilliant wordsmithery that I admired, but also their kindness, care and compassion towards others in the group. Unbeknownst to that wonderful group, they also kept me sane during what has turned out to be both the worst and best year of my life.

I am not going to delve into the details of the annus horribilis just past; because it shall remain in the past. I don’t want the newness of 2019 to be tainted by past nightmares. The theme of 2018 was enlightenment and evolution; whereas 2019 will be focused on revolution and resolution.

Revolution because I will be focusing on self-care, self-worth and self-development; resolution because I hereby resolve to commit to my writing in the form of at least one blog post per day.
